Overview
Intentional Money Life is a financial education platform created by Michelle, a financial planner focused on helping people build confidence around money and make financial decisions that support the life they actually want.
The goal was to create a website that felt approachable rather than overly corporate or intimidating, while also giving the business a strong foundation for delivering online financial education through courses.
The client came with an existing logo, photography, and core content. We took those assets and translated them into the overall website experience—from visual direction and page structure through development, WordPress configuration, and LMS implementation.
The Challenge
Financial education websites can easily become overly technical, corporate, or information-heavy. For Intentional Money Life, the website needed to communicate expertise while still feeling warm, accessible, and human.
It also needed to do more than function as a traditional marketing website. Courses are a core part of the business, so the learning experience needed to work naturally alongside the public-facing website.
The key challenge was bringing those two sides together:
- Build trust and credibility without making the brand feel intimidating
- Make complex financial topics feel approachable
- Create clear pathways into Michelle's courses and resources
- Establish a scalable structure for online learning
- Make the experience work seamlessly across desktop and mobile
The Approach
We designed and developed the website from the ground up, using the client's existing logo, photography, and content as the foundation.
The design focused on creating a friendly, editorial-style experience with clear typography, generous spacing, approachable layouts, and strong content hierarchy. Rather than relying on heavy financial-industry visual conventions, the interface was designed to feel more personal and aligned with Michelle's educational approach.
We also structured the site around the different ways visitors might interact with the business—from learning more about Michelle, to exploring educational resources, to discovering and enrolling in courses.
LMS & Course Setup
A major part of the project was setting up the site's learning infrastructure.
We configured the LMS and built out the course experience so that educational content could live within the same ecosystem as the main website. This included structuring courses and lessons, setting up the relevant learning flows, and creating a consistent experience between the marketing pages and course content.
The result was a website that isn't simply a brochure for the business—it functions as an actual learning platform.
